July 13, 2018 - Rotary International Grant Allows for Construction of Full Cycle Water System and Waste to Fuel Biodigester. The Nambale Magnet School will soon start the implementation of a full cycle water system thanks to a grant request funded by Rotary International. [ more ]

March 29, 2018 - Jambo! This is a Kenyan greeting, meaning hello! The first term at the Nambale Magnet School (NMS) is coming to an end this week. The school has been in session for the last twelve weeks. We received new learners in January, a record increase since the school began in 2009... [ more ]

November 21, 2017 - The First 8th grade graduating class this year was top in the region on the 8th grade standardized test of Kenya. We were able to find scholarships for all of our students! This year's candidates sat for the test and the results are now in. [ more ]

October 4, 2017 -  Prayasam, an NGO based in India visited the Nambale Magnet School and spent the weekend at the school with learners teaching them life skills, games, songs and dance... [ more ]

August 16, 2017 -  With the generous donation of sewing machines, a sewing lab has been added to the Nambale Magnet School. Now instead of purchasing mosquito nets for beds and uniforms, the school has the capability of making their own. As with the farm, the sewing lab also offers the children an additional learning opportunity. A plan is set in motion to offer sewing lessons to the curriculum for those who are interested. [ more ]

July 26, 2017 - Once a year, the Nambale Magnet School has a tradition of holding a sports day for the learners on either the last Saturday of June or first Saturday of July. This year sports day was hosted on July 2nd and the event drew learners, staff, parents, guardians and two neighboring schools to participate. [ more ]

July 6, 2017 - Some of our recent graduates are now in High School busy doing amazing things. Alpha and Jackson in the same school and were our top two learners in last year's KCPE results. Both Alpha and Jackson are doing very well. Alpha recently attended a mentoring program for a week organized by the First Lady in Kenya. Jackson and Joy Lilian, another of the Nambale Magnet School's top learners will also attending the program this week... [ more ]

May 20, 2017 - A group of parishioners from a church in Miami recently came to visit and share in some maintenance and fellowship with the population of the Nambale Magnet School. While visiting the school the parishioners helped by painting recently renovated teacher housing buildings... [ more ]

December 1, 2016 - The Nambale Magnet School topped the Busia District in the Eighth grade National Test! The highest score was 421. There were 6 students with over 400 marks, 12 with 350 marks and above, the mean score is 361.9! September 20, 2016 - This is the documentary about the Youth Mission Trip from the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin in San Francisco to the Nambale Magnet School in Kenya. During their visit they were kind enough to volunteer around the school and one of the things the students did was paint the Karibu Guest House... [ more ]

July 3, 2015 - On 8th June the school held its annual sports day, which takes place every last Saturday of June. This exciting event draws together learners, teachers, staff, parents, neighboring schools and the community members for a day of fun and sporting. Among the crowd pullers were the challenging sack race combined with other activities such as balancing a hardboiled egg on a desert spoon in one's mouth... [ more ]

February 3, 2015 - The new classroom wing and dormitory wings are nearly completed, just in time for the upcoming classes. We continue to grow and to provide a top education for the vulnerable children of the Busia District of Western Kenya... [ more ]

November 21, 2014 - Cornerstone Project has funded a home for the head master on the proper to increase the security to the children. We have also funded the expansion of the kitchen and a new classroom wing and dormitory wing thanks to your generous donations... [ more ]

May 28, 2014 - Thanks to the generosity of the Federico Foundation we now have computers for the Nambale Magnet School! Now that we have the new computers we can also start implementing the computer and software education programs for students... [ more ]
